Why did I write this book

Name of the book

Blueprint Centric Innovation and Creativity: Turning Creative Design Into Reality

Synopsis

The book is an inspirational and unique look at human nature and the potential for creativity and ingenuity that lies within. The author begins with a definition of blueprint centric living as a way of life that incorporates planning as a precursor to successful and abundant living. He then walks the reader through the various stages of blueprint creativity, with illustrations from the blueprint of the creation of the universe to the blueprint of the creation of each individual. Furthermore, the author shows readers how to reach outside the box of existing reality beyond imitations to the creation of new things like new products, new technologies,  new inventions, new discoveries, new businesses, new creative ideas and opportunities by applying the concepts of blueprint centric innovation and creativity.  His motivation is to inspire readers to tap into their God-given creativity to release life changing innovations in order to successfully live their lives and thereby help to eradicate poverty worldwide.

Why Did I Write this Book?

Living in the so called 'third world' I am always puzzled by what stops people in developing nations to become champions of innovation.  Why is originality sacrificed at the altar of imitations, plagiarisms, and copy & paste?  From songs, to intellectual property, from products to inventions, from creative ideas to new discoveries ... the first world is always the pace setter.  However, it is also a fact that innovation and creativity is not exclusive to the select few.  I discovered in the Scriptures that God created the universe out of nothing.  No one can argue with the fact that God is creative.  One of the astounding discoveries is that God created all human beings in His likeness after His own image.  This implies that God made every human being in His likeness even in terms of creativity.  Therefore, innovation is not for the rocket scientists but it lies torpid in every human being until it is awakened.  Through innovation people can invent their future by redefining their own realities.  It is a fact that nations that have accessed innovation are today the richest and the leading nations in the world.  Consequently, this book is a challenge to every human being to join the race to the top through the release of the creative spirit from within.  I want to see the developing nations make their own contributions through the release of new inventions.  Invention did not stop with the telephone, the mobile phone, the computer, the space craft, etc.  There is still unlimited inventions waiting to be discovered. This book is my first contribution to help readers to discover the inventor that is hiding in each one of us.

A CROWN OF NEVER ENDING GLORY

Does it seem at times that working for God is in vain? In 1 Timothy 5:18, Paul the Apostle stated a profound truth and a spiritual law that God established, when he said “those who work deserve their pay.”  Did you know that God holds every employer accountable to this law? This means that each person that does work must be paid a fair wage by the one they work for.  When in the quest to enrich ourselves you and I as employers violate this principle, the Bible says that ‘the cries of those who work for such employers reach the ears of the Lord of the Heaven’s armies.’ In James 5:4 the Scriptures declare to such employers that “the wages (they) held back cry out against them.” Furthermore, James conclusion is that “this treasure you have accumulated (by robbing your employees) will stand as evidence against you on the day of judgment.”  Sadly, this category includes Christians and Christian organizations, and Churches that still pay petty wages to their employees or no wages at all for work done for those who have the means to pay for it but choose not to do so.  There are also Churches that fail to pay the ministers of the gospel that labor for them while they have the financial means to do so. Well the same fate awaits them also.  Let us look on the other side of this coin.  Suppose you work for God and you are currently getting no salary for the work that you do, and you battle like me whether your labor is in vain.  At the back of your mind and mine, the fundamental question we can pose is, does God hold himself accountable to reward those who work for Him?  Certainly! Paul in the eleventh chapter of the book of Hebrews states that “God is a Rewarder  ...” In Luke 14: 12 -14 the Bible states two principles that sheds light on the answer to our question.  First, when we do anything for any one because we know they will be able to repay us, we are automatically disqualified from God’s reward system for that specific act.  The payment we get from people is a just and only compensation. But when you and I do something for any one that cannot repay us for our labor of love, Jesus said “God will reward you for … those who could not repay you.”  For those of us who fall in this category, whether we be missionaries, preachers of the gospel, volunteers, working tirelessly for those who do not have the capacity to repay us, like orphans, widows, the lost, etc. the Bible in Luke 6:14 states that “… great reward awaits you.”  The Apostle Peter in I Peter 5:4 depict this reward as “a crown of never ending glory.”  Crowns are only bestowed on royalty.  Among others a crown comes with a domain, the authority to rule in that domain, the estate in the domain, etc.  In a sense it is a wise thing to use the temporal resources that we have here on earth to gain this eternal reward, a crown of never ending glory.  Indeed all our actions here on earth have eternal consequences that we will either be proud of or ashamed for.  The disciples and the followers of Christ in the early Church understood the certainty of the eternal reward of God to the extent that some gave their lives and were martyrs of faith while others shared their possessions with those in need.  Concerning the latter, Acts 4: 32 & 34 states that “All believers were united in heart and mind.  And they felt that what they owned was not their own, so they shared everything they had.  There were no needy people among them, because those who owned land or houses would sell them, and bring the money to the apostles TO GIVE TO THOSE IN NEED.”  Today the opposite of these two scenarios is true.  There is insignificant difference between believers and non-believers.  On both sides life is defined by material possessions and how much money we accumulate here on earth.  It is survival of the fittest at its best.  The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.

WHY IS THIS BOOK A MUST READ?

I wrote a book entitled ‘Blueprint Centric Innovation & Creativity’ to simplify the explanation of what innovation is all about and how it is loaded with enormous potential to cause prosperity.  In my view this book is a beginning of a pursuit to use innovation as a tool to take you to the top through the release of your creative potential.  My quest to find what more can be done to help people to achieve success in their lifeitme and free people from poverty invariably led me to the subject of innovation.  After writing this book I began to read the speeches of President Barack Obama of the United States of America to search what his insights on innovation are.  I was amazed to find that Obama concurs with me on this subject.  Here are a few examples of some of Obama’s insights in his own words.  President Obama in Presenting National Medals of Science and National Medals of Technology and Innovation - on November 17, 2010 said, “The key to our success -- as it has always been -- will be to compete by developing new products, by generating new industries, by maintaining our role as the world’s engine of scientific discovery and technological innovation.  It’s absolutely essential to our future.”  On May 25, 2011 - President Obama in his address to United Kingdom Parliament in London, said, “There is no greater generator of wealth and innovation than a system of free enterprise that unleashes the full potential of individual men and women.  That’s what led to the Industrial Revolution that began in the factories of Manchester.  That is what led to the dawn of the Information Age that arose from the office parks of Silicon Valley ...  In other words; we live in a global economy that is largely of our own making.  And today, the competition for the best jobs and industries favors countries that are free-thinking and forward-looking; countries with the most creative and innovative and entrepreneurial citizens … lasting prosperity comes not from what a nation consumes, but from what it produces”  Furthermore, during the  "Education To Innovate" Campaign on November 23, 2009 President Obama said,      “The key to meeting (these) challenges -- to improving our health and well-being, to harnessing clean energy, to protecting our security, and succeeding in the global economy -- will be reaffirming and strengthening America's role as the world's engine of scientific discovery and technological innovation.  And that leadership tomorrow depends on how we educate our students today, especially in those fields that hold the promise of producing future innovations and innovators.  And that's why education in math and science is so important.  Everyone in this room understands how important science and math can be.  And it goes beyond the facts in biology textbook or the questions on an algebra quiz.  It's about the ability to understand our world:  to harness and train that human capacity to solve problems and think critically, a set of skills that informs the decisions we make throughout our lives.  So, yes, improving education in math and science is about producing engineers and researchers and scientists and innovators who are going to help transform our economy and our lives for the better.  But it's also about something more.  It's about expanding opportunity for all Americans in a world where an education is the key to success.  It's about an informed citizenry in an era where many of the problems we face as a nation are, at root, scientific problems.  And it's about the power of science to not only unlock new discoveries, but to unlock in the minds of our young people a sense of promise, a sense that with some hard work -- with effort -- they have the potential to achieve extraordinary things.”  If innovation is so critical to change the material conditions of the peoples of South Africa, Africa and the world,  our leaders like Obama needs to pay more attention to this subject.  Democracy will only become meaningful to a critical mass of our countries and our nations around the globe when individuals are empowered to become active participants in innovation.  You can get an excellent book that I call blueprint centric innovation & creativity that I hope will be a pathfinder on your journey to discover the power of innovation on the following link or those already mentioned above.http://www.pdbookstore.com/comfiles/pages/EliyahKhumalo.shtmll
